India witnesses a monumental leap in healthcare infrastructure with the inauguration of five new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) across the nation. In a fervent ceremony, Prime Minister Modi declared the opening of AIIMS in Rajkot, Bathinda, Raebareli, Kalyani, and Mangalgiri, ushering in a new era of advanced medical care and accessibility for millions.

Addressing the gathering with unwavering confidence, Prime Minister Modi underscored the rapid pace of development under his government, eclipsing the progress of previous decades in just a fraction of the time. He reiterated his commitment to national progress, emphasizing, “My guarantee begins from where hope ends from others.”

With an investment of Rs 48,000 crore, encompassing over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects across 23 states and Union Territories, the inauguration of these AIIMS marks a significant stride towards equitable healthcare distribution.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the stark disparity that persisted for decades, with only one AIIMS established in Delhi in the first 50 years post-independence. In contrast, within a mere 10 days, seven new AIIMS either commenced operations or had their foundation stones laid, a testament to the government’s unwavering dedication to bridging healthcare gaps.

Reflecting on the past, where citizens traversed across states seeking essential medical facilities, Prime Minister Modi asserted that the landscape had transformed. Modern hospitals and medical amenities akin to AIIMS are now burgeoning nationwide, fulfilling the long-standing aspirations of millions.

Underscoring the transformative journey, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the pivotal role of healthcare reforms in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. Through strategic enhancements in the healthcare ecosystem over the last decade, India emerged triumphant in the face of adversity.

The Prime Minister elucidated on the extensive augmentation witnessed in AIIMS and medical colleges, alongside the establishment of over one lakh ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ in rural hinterlands. This exponential growth, coupled with a substantial increase in medical seats, epitomizes the government’s unwavering commitment to fortifying the healthcare infrastructure.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi accentuated the government’s proactive stance towards disease prevention through initiatives encompassing nutrition, yoga, AYUSH, and sanitation. Inaugurating hospitals and research centers dedicated to yoga and naturopathy underscores the holistic approach adopted towards healthcare.

Drawing attention to the monumental strides in healthcare affordability, Prime Minister Modi outlined the transformative impact of schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, and tax reforms. These initiatives have not only alleviated the financial burden on the underprivileged but have also catalyzed economic empowerment on a massive scale.

As the nation stands witness to this historic moment, the inauguration of AIIMS in Rajkot, Bathinda, Raebareli, Kalyani, and Mangalgiri epitomizes India’s unwavering resolve towards fostering an inclusive and robust healthcare ecosystem. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation strides forward towards a healthier, more prosperous future for all its citizens.
