Months after the tragic death of actor Matthew Perry, the legal spotlight has shifted to a new figure in the case. Recent developments reveal that Jasveen Sangha, infamously known as the “Ketamine Queen,” is among those charged in connection with Perry’s fatal overdose. The case has garnered significant attention due to Sangha’s alleged involvement in distributing the substance that contributed to the actor’s demise.
Who Is Jasveen Sangha?
Jasveen Sangha, a 41-year-old with dual British and American citizenship, has been under federal scrutiny for her suspected role in illegal drug distribution. Sangha allegedly operated a drug trafficking network from her residence in North Hollywood, where authorities previously described her home as a “drug-selling emporium.” Her property was reportedly stocked with various illicit substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and prescription medications like Xanax.
Sangha’s notoriety surged in March 2019 when she was arrested for selling methamphetamine. During a raid, law enforcement officials seized 79 bottles of liquid ketamine and approximately 2,000 methamphetamine pills from her home. This incident marked a significant moment in her criminal history, drawing attention to her extensive involvement in drug distribution.
Connection to Matthew Perry’s Death
Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the iconic television show FRIENDS, was found deceased in his Pacific Palisades home in October 2023. The actor, aged 54, was discovered floating face down in his pool. Initial reports attributed his death to “acute effects of ketamine” followed by drowning.
Court documents have revealed that prior to his death, Perry had acquired ketamine through a broker named Eric Fleming. It has been alleged that Fleming sourced the drug from Sangha. According to the charges, Sangha provided Fleming with ketamine on October 13, 2023, and Fleming then distributed it to Perry on October 14 and October 24. Furthermore, it is claimed that Sangha supplied Fleming with 50 vials of ketamine over these transactions, and as a gesture of goodwill, included “ketamine lollipops” as a bonus due to the substantial nature of Perry’s order.
The legal proceedings continue to unfold, and the implications of Sangha’s involvement in Perry’s death are yet to be fully determined. The case highlights the serious consequences of illegal drug distribution and its potential impact on individuals’ lives. As the investigation progresses, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on this complex and tragic situation.
