Reports have surfaced of a violent clash between two gangs in Machhiwara, resulting in serious injuries to two young men identified as Harpreet Singh and Amit Kumar. According to Bhindar Singh Khangura, the officer in charge of the local police station, both individuals hail from the Miyan Mohalla neighborhood of Machhiwara and were traveling together in a car when they were pursued by members of a rival gang due to an ongoing feud.
In the ensuing confrontation, Harpreet and Amit attempted to flee in their vehicle, but were intercepted by the rival gang, causing them to lose control and veer off the road into a nearby field. The assailants then forcibly dragged the two youths out of the car and subjected them to a brutal assault with sharp weapons, leaving them unconscious. Subsequently, the attackers fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of bloodshed and terror.
Harpreet and Amit were initially rushed to a local hospital in Machhiwara, but due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred to a hospital in Ludhiana for further treatment. Sources indicate that Harpreet Singh’s condition remains critical, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
In response to this heinous act, law enforcement authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, vowing to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
