According to SGPC officials, visa applications were submitted for 561 pilgrims through the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. Out of these, 541 applicants received travel clearance, enabling them to take part in the religious observances across several historic Sikh shrines in Pakistan.
Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Secretary of the SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee, said the delegation would participate in the main commemorative programme slated for June 18. During the visit, the pilgrims will offer prayers at prominent Sikh heritage sites and join religious gatherings dedicated to the memory of Guru Arjan Dev.
