In a heartfelt homage to the revered Guru Nanak Dev Ji, renowned Bollywood actor and writer Boman Irani has unveiled an exquisite pictorial art work commemorating the upcoming 555th Prakash Purab of the Sikh Guru. The visually captivating brochure, meticulously crafted by Punjab’s esteemed author, nature artist, and heritage advocate Harpreet Sandhu, celebrates the sacred Gurdwara Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi—the spiritual sanctuary where Guru Nanak Dev Ji meditated for nearly 14 years and imparted the profound teachings of the “Mool Mantar.”

The release ceremony, held amidst a blend of artistic brilliance and spiritual reverence, highlighted the deep historical and spiritual significance of Gurdwara Ber Sahib. Sultanpur Lodhi, a pivotal site in Sikh heritage, served as the serene backdrop for Guru Nanak’s enlightenment and the dissemination of his timeless message of humanity, unity, and devotion.

Boman Irani, while presenting the pictorial brochure, expressed his immense gratitude towards Harpreet Sandhu for his dedicated efforts in bringing to life the sacred heritage of Punjab. “This pictorial work is not just a compilation of visuals but a heartfelt homage to the sanctity and serenity of the sacred Shrine Ber Sahib,” Irani remarked. He further added, “Harpreet Sandhu has beautifully captured the spiritual essence and heritage of this revered site, introducing the world to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s divine vision.”

Harpreet Sandhu, who also serves as the former Additional Advocate General of Punjab, shared his inspiration behind the project. “In compiling this pictorial artwork dedicated to the 555th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak, my aim was to highlight the universal teachings of brotherhood and peace that Guru Nanak laid down. By bringing the reverence of Gurdwara Ber Sahib into the limelight, I hope to introduce the sacred shrine’s religious heritage to the broader audience, including the Bollywood community,” Sandhu stated.

The pictorial brochure not only showcases the architectural beauty and spiritual ambiance of Gurdwara Ber Sahib but also serves as a bridge connecting Punjab’s rich heritage with the global audience, particularly within the Bollywood industry. Irani emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering cultural appreciation and preserving historical legacies. “This tribute is a testament to the enduring legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the timeless relevance of his teachings. It is a privilege to be part of this celebration,” he added.

As the Sikh community and admirers worldwide prepare to honor Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 555th birth anniversary, Boman Irani’s contribution stands as a significant cultural milestone. The pictorial brochure by Harpreet Sandhu promises to be a treasured keepsake, encapsulating the spirit and sanctity of one of Sikhism’s most hallowed sites, while also inspiring a new generation to embrace the Guru’s message of peace and unity.
