The national capital witnessed a stirring spectacle of unity and patriotism last week as thousands of Sikh youths, accompanied by senior government leaders, participated in the Khalsa Tiranga Yatra — a grand tribute to the soldiers of Operation Sindoor.
The rally, flagged off from Talkatora Stadium by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, was a powerful display of solidarity with the Indian armed forces. The Yatra culminated at the War Memorial near Kartavya Path, where tributes were paid to fallen heroes.
Riders carrying the national flag thundered through the streets on motorcycles, chanting slogans of unity and national pride. The procession, drenched in saffron, white, and green, drew widespread attention and admiration from onlookers.
“This Yatra is more than just a procession,” said Chief Minister Gupta in her address. “It is the voice of a grateful nation, honoring the selfless courage of our soldiers. The sight of thousands marching shoulder-to-shoulder with the Tricolor is a powerful reminder of our collective commitment to peace, security, and sovereignty.”
The event saw the active participation of Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Education Minister Ashish Sood. Sirsa, who led the motorcycle rally, praised the Indian government’s firm response to terrorism, referencing the recent counter-strike following a terror attack on a Gurdwara in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.
“Today, Sikh youths ride proudly through Delhi, saluting our armed forces who crossed borders and neutralized threats,” said Sirsa. “We honor the bravery of our Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the spirit of sacrifice that defines our soldiers and their families.”
Throughout the route, chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and patriotic songs reverberated through the city, creating a charged atmosphere that highlighted the deep respect and admiration citizens hold for their protectors.
The Khalsa Tiranga Yatra not only paid homage to the martyrs of Operation Sindoor but also sent a strong message against terrorism and for national unity. As flags fluttered and voices rang out in tribute, the event etched itself into Delhi’s history as a defining moment of collective remembrance and national pride.
