Ludhiana is on the brink of a significant educational upgrade with the establishment of two new Schools of Eminence (SoEs) in Kidwai Nagar and Miller Ganj. These state-of-the-art institutions are poised to set new standards in education with their cutting-edge facilities and comprehensive approach to student development.
The School of Eminence in Kidwai Nagar is being developed by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT), while the Miller Ganj facility is under construction by the Public Works Department (PWD). Both schools are expected to be equipped with advanced smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, well-appointed laboratories, and comprehensive CCTV surveillance systems. Additionally, they will feature expansive playgrounds with facilities supporting a variety of sports, ensuring that students have access to both academic and extracurricular excellence.
The initiative to create these schools is part of the broader School of Eminence programme launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, aimed at revolutionizing the education sector. The mission of this programme is to foster holistic development among students and pave the way for a brighter future.
During a recent site visit, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney emphasized the urgency of completing the construction work. Accompanied by SDM East Vikas Hira, DEO Dimple Madaan, and officials from the LIT, Municipal Corporation, and PWD, Sawhney reviewed the progress at both locations. She expressed confidence that the building work is nearing completion and stressed the importance of finalizing the remaining tasks swiftly to make these modern educational facilities operational.
The introduction of these Schools of Eminence is anticipated to make a profound impact on the educational landscape of Ludhiana, offering students an environment that nurtures both their academic and personal growth.
