Allegations of Khalistan Funding Rock AAP: New Revelations Surface

by Antariksh Singh

In a startling turn of events, a damning video has emerged implicating the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal of receiving a staggering $16 million in funding from Khalistani groups between 2014 and 2022. The video features Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a US-based Khalistani terrorist and the founder of the proscribed outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), making these grave allegations.

Pannun, a figure synonymous with extremist ideologies, went on record accusing Kejriwal’s party of striking a deal to secure the release of convicted terrorist Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar in exchange for financial support. Bhullar’s involvement in the horrific 1993 Delhi Bomb Blast, which claimed nine lives and left 31 others wounded outside the Youth Congress headquarters, has long been a stain on the nation’s conscience. Despite initially being sentenced to death, his punishment was later commuted to life imprisonment in 2014.

According to Pannun’s claims, a clandestine meeting occurred in 2014 between Kejriwal and pro-Khalistan Sikhs at Gurdwara Richmond Hills, New York. Allegedly, during this meeting, Kejriwal purportedly agreed to facilitate Bhullar’s release in return for substantial financial backing from the Khalistani factions.

These allegations have surfaced at a particularly precarious juncture for Kejriwal, who is already ensnared in the legal quagmire of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody due to the alleged liquor policy scam. The purported scam, which purportedly caused significant financial losses to the Delhi exchequer, has cast a pall of suspicion over the AAP’s governance credentials.

The emergence of this video and the damning accusations contained within it have sent shockwaves across political circles, igniting a firestorm of controversy and scrutiny. For Kejriwal and the AAP, these allegations pose a severe threat not only to their political credibility but also to the very fabric of their democratic mandate.

As investigations unfold and the veracity of these allegations is scrutinized, the specter of collusion between political entities and extremist groups looms large, raising profound questions about the integrity of India’s democratic institutions. The gravity of these allegations demands swift and decisive action to uphold the principles of justice, accountability, and the rule of law.
