In a series of coordinated operations, the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered arms, drones, and narcotics along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Ferozepur and Amritsar districts, officials said on Sunday.

Acting on a specific intelligence input, BSF troops launched a search operation near Bahadurke village in Ferozepur. During the search, personnel found a pistol, a magazine, and two live rounds concealed in farmland close to the border fence.

In a separate operation, BSF personnel in Amritsar intercepted and neutralised a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone near Kahangarh village. The drone, which had crossed over from Pakistan, was found carrying a pistol and a magazine. The recovery marks yet another instance of Pakistan-based smugglers attempting to use drones to transport weapons and contraband across the border.

Further along the Amritsar sector, a damaged DJI Air 3S drone was discovered near Daoke village. Officials suspect it was being used for similar illicit activities before malfunctioning or being brought down.

Adding to the series of recoveries, BSF troops found a packet of heroin weighing approximately 553 grams from an agricultural field near Bhaini Rajputana village on Sunday morning.

The BSF has stepped up aerial surveillance and ground patrolling in sensitive areas following the recoveries. Officials believe these seizures reflect ongoing attempts by cross-border syndicates to smuggle arms and narcotics into India using drones and other covert means.
