Honoring Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Death Anniversary Observed at Badrukhan

Badrukhan witnessed a grand state-level event as the 184th death anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh was solemnly observed. The state government, determined to propel Punjab’s progress, organized the commemoration at the revered maternal village of the legendary ruler.

Under the esteemed presence of Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, the function unfolded with grace and reverence. Minister Arora, addressing the audience, emphasized the government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of Punjab and its resolute mission to eradicate corruption from its very core. To kickstart the village’s growth, he announced a generous grant of Rs 1 crore for various development initiatives.

During his speech at the Badrukhan grain market, Minister Arora expressed the government’s relentless pursuit of emulating the principles laid down by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He highlighted the tireless efforts of Punjab’s leaders and officials, who have been diligently working to ensure the efficient delivery of services, ultimately shaping the state into a vibrant and prosperous entity known as “Rangla Punjab.”

Minister Arora went on to reveal the state government’s remarkable achievements in combating corruption, with over 300 arrests made in the past fifteen months alone. Moreover, he emphasized the revolutionary reforms being introduced in the health and education sectors, aimed at propelling the comprehensive development of the state.

“Sunam constituency, much like Punjab, is also experiencing remarkable progress,” Minister Arora added. He highlighted the ongoing canal water projects worth Rs 68 crore, which have brought tremendous relief to farmers after a drought of nearly three to four decades, as water now reaches their fields.

The commemoration of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s death anniversary at Badrukhan served as a poignant reminder of the legendary leader’s legacy. With a committed government at the helm, Punjab continues to stride forward, embracing progress, eradicating corruption, and uplifting the lives of its people.
