A gas leak incident in Ludhiana, Punjab, has resulted in the death of at least eleven people, while several others have been hospitalized. The incident occurred on April 30 inside a factory in the Giaspura area, which has been cordoned off by the local administration.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, along with medical and paramedic teams, have reached the spot to provide assistance. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed his condolences and assured that all possible help is being extended to the affected.
According to Ludhiana West’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Swati, the NDRF team is present at the spot to conduct a rescue operation, as nine people have already died, and eleven are sick due to the gas leak.
