Strikers Gurjot Singh and Arshdeep Singh, along with goalkeeper Princedeep Singh, will represent the country on one of the biggest stages in junior hockey.

Gurjot, 21, hails from Nakodar in Jalandhar and has been honing his skills at RGHA since mid-2021. A sharp and agile forward, he broke into the senior national setup last year, making his debut at the Asian Champions Trophy in Hulunbuir, China. Arshdeep, 20, from Amritsar, also joined the academy in 2021 and has been steadily rising through the ranks. He was part of the Indian junior side that toured Europe in May, gaining valuable international exposure.

Joining them is 21-year-old goalkeeper Princedeep Singh, originally from Pathankot. A member of RGHA since 2022, Princedeep has been part of the senior-team environment as well, and the Junior World Cup offers him a major platform to showcase his reflexes and composure in goal.

Rajinder Singh, Technical Lead at RGHA, praised the trio’s achievement, calling it a testament to years of hard work and dedication. “I am extremely proud of Gurjot, Arshdeep and Princedeep for earning their spots in India’s Junior World Cup squad. Their growth over the past few years has been remarkable, and it reflects the collective effort we put in at the academy to raise the bar for Indian hockey,” he said.

India will compete in Pool B under the guidance of head coach and former national goalkeeper PR Sreejesh. They will face Chile, Switzerland and Oman, the latter having replaced Pakistan in the tournament lineup.

With three academy graduates in the squad, RGHA continues to strengthen its reputation as a growing hub for hockey talent in the country.
