The initiative was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, and Air Vice Marshal Harjit S Sidana, VSM, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Education), Indian Air Force.
Under the agreement, serving, retired, and martyred Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel, along with their dependents, will be eligible for scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees. The scholarships span a wide range of disciplines including Engineering, Management, Law, and Humanities, and are applicable to both online and on-campus programs.

It also complements LPU’s ‘Jai Jawan Scheme’, introduced after Operation Sindoor, which provides 100% tuition waivers for serving personnel of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces enrolling in online programs.
