Major Events Planned Across Punjab

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced that special programmes — including Kirtan Darbars, light-and-sound shows, and devotional gatherings — will be organised at Amritsar and Baba Bakala Sahib, places deeply associated with Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life and teachings.

A major highlight will be a Nagar Kirtan, beginning from Gurdaspur on November 20. The procession will pass through Amritsar, Tarn Taran, and Jalandhar, with Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale overseeing the yatra, assisted by local administrations and volunteers.

The celebrations will also commence from Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Delhi, where the Guru made his ultimate sacrifice. Additional processions from Srinagar, Malwa, and Majha regions will converge at Sri Anandpur Sahib, where a grand concluding ceremony is planned.

Tarunpreet Singh Sondh said local bodies, panchayats, and institutions will greet the procession with flower showers and devotional tributes.

Anandpur Sahib to Host the Grand Finale

The celebrations will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib, where Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will inaugurate a digital exhibition at Virasat-e-Khalsa, showcasing Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life and supreme sacrifice.

The state will also host interfaith conferences, scholarly seminars, and a special session of the Punjab Assembly on November 24 to honour the Guru’s message of unity and human rights.
