It Was Absolutely Necessary to Teach Pakistan a Lesson

by Sudeep Singh

Generally speaking, war is not a solution to any problem, because whenever two nations go to war, both sides suffer—some more, some less. Not only that, but the soldiers or civilians who die during war are members of families who are left to bear the grief of their loss forever. That is why every effort should be made to prevent a war-like situation from arising.

Perhaps this is why Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, showed people the path of dialogue over 550 years ago. He had the courage to call the Mughal emperor Babur a tyrant, yet also engaged in dialogue with him and guided him.

However, ever since India’s independence, our neighboring country Pakistan has continued to harbor hatred under the guise of terrorism. It has repeatedly stabbed India in the back—be it the wars of 1965, 1971, or the Kargil conflict. Even today, Pakistan is responsible for creating similar hostile conditions, but each time, it has faced humiliating defeat at the hands of India.

Now, once again, by launching the recent attack in Pahalgam and committing heinous acts in the name of religion, Pakistan has orchestrated a vile conspiracy, killing 26 innocent Hindus. Similarly, a few years ago, 36 Sikhs were brutally murdered by terrorists in Chittisinghpura.

But now, it seems the time has come to give Pakistan a fitting response. The Indian government’s launch of Mission Sindoor has sent shivers down the spines of the terrorists being sheltered in Pakistan. Pakistan used to think that India would never take a hard stance, but Mission Sindoor—led by Colonel Sophia Qureshi—has proven otherwise.

Pakistan deliberately targeted Sikh religious sites in an attempt to provoke the Sikh community and win their support. For this, it even sought help from Khalistanis like Pannun who operate from abroad. But the global Sikh community responded with a united message: Sikhs stand firmly with India. And with that, Pakistan’s evil plans were completely foiled.
