A Pakistani drone equipped with advanced sensors and cameras was discovered in a field at Dullapur Keri village, located near the International Border (IB) within the jurisdiction of Hindumalkot police station.
The incident unfolded on Friday afternoon when a local farmer ventured approximately 2.5 kilometers into Indian territory to tend to his crops. During his visit, he spotted the drone lying unattended in his field. Recognizing the potential security implications, the farmer promptly alerted the relevant authorities.
In response, personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), along with local police and intelligence agencies, swiftly mobilized to the scene. A comprehensive search operation was launched to inspect the area surrounding the drone. However, officials reported that no illicit items, including drugs, illegal weapons, or counterfeit currency, were found in proximity to the device.
According to police sources, the drone in question is identified as a DJI Mavic-3 model, known for its high-resolution camera and sophisticated omnidirectional obstacle sensing technology.
