The arrests were made on Friday night during an operation on the Amritsar-Tarn Taran road. Acting on specific intelligence, a CI team set up a checkpoint near a flyover and intercepted a Maruti Swift allegedly being used to transport the consignment.
The three suspects have been identified as Prince, Malkit Singh and Rajinder Singh, residents of the Kot Mit Singh and Khalsa Nagar areas of Amritsar. Police also impounded the car, bearing registration number HR30-N-2780.
