Sikhs in Punjab Rally Against Pakistan, Torch Effigies in Protest

by Parminder Singh Sodhi

In a powerful display of patriotism and unity, Sikhs across Punjab staged demonstrations against Pakistan’s ongoing attempts to interfere in India’s internal affairs. Protesters set ablaze effigies of Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir and the Pakistani national flag, sending a clear message against any external threats to India’s sovereignty.

The demonstrators condemned Pakistan’s alleged efforts to destabilize Indian border security, vowing that the Sikh community would never allow such “nefarious agendas” to succeed. Participants, many of whom carried Indian flags and chanted patriotic slogans, reaffirmed the Sikh community’s unwavering commitment to the nation.

“Sikhs have always stood with India, and we always will,” said one protester during the demonstration. “No foreign power can ever hope to create divisions among us. Our loyalty to India is unshakeable.”

Community leaders emphasized that Sikh history is filled with examples of courage and sacrifice in defending the country’s unity and integrity. They warned that any external attempts to exploit or disrupt the harmony along India’s borders would be fiercely resisted.

The protests come amid heightened concerns over cross-border tensions, with local leaders urging the central government to take a firm stance against any provocations. The Sikh community’s message was unmistakable: India’s security is non-negotiable, and any threats — whether overt or covert — will meet with staunch resistance.
