This recent triumph comes hot on the heels of earlier successes by law enforcement agencies. Just days prior, on February 4, AGTF Punjab, in collaboration with Chandigarh Police and Central Agencies, apprehended three operatives linked to the foreign-based gangster Goldy Brar. These individuals were implicated in a shooting incident in a residential area of Chandigarh on January 19, 2024. After committing the crime, they fled to Bihar but were intercepted and arrested at the Gorakhpur Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh with the assistance of local authorities.
Moreover, on February 3, the AGTF Punjab made significant headway by capturing two operatives, Mandeep Singh and Jatinder Singh, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar Gang. Mandeep Singh had reportedly provided safe havens to suspects involved in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala and facilitated the escape of Gangster Deepak Tinu in 2017.
Both Mandeep and Jatinder have a history of involvement in serious criminal activities, including attempted murder, extortion, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act, with numerous cases registered against them in Chandigarh and Haryana. During their apprehension, law enforcement recovered two pistols and 12 live cartridges. Preliminary investigations have revealed that these individuals were tasked with carrying out targeted killings of rival gangsters by their handlers operating from abroad.
