Students Felicitated After Return from Cultural Exchange Trip to Japan

In a heartfelt ceremony at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhawan celebrated the achievements of seven remarkable students from Punjab who recently returned from a culturally enriching visit to Japan. The students, all from government schools, were awarded cash prizes for their exemplary performance and were recognized for their success in securing top positions on the merit list.

S. Sandhawan lauded the students for their outstanding accomplishments and expressed pride in their participation in the cultural exchange program sponsored by the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann. The initiative aimed to provide students with an immersive experience into Japanese culture, science, and logic during their one-week stay in Japan.

The honored students included Harmandeep Kaur from Mansa, Jasmeet Kaur from Sangrur, Sanjana Kumari from Patiala, Sapna and Deepika from Bathinda, Gurwinder Kaur from Firozpur, and Khwaish from Jalandhar. The Speaker took the opportunity to interact with them, discussing their experiences and insights gained from the trip.

During the event, S. Sandhawan also offered the students a tour of the Vidhan Sabha House, providing them with a glimpse into the legislative process and the workings of the assembly. He encouraged the students to serve as role models for their peers and to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavors.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including MLAs Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Sandeep Jakhar, and Barinder Goyal, as well as the students’ parents and teachers. The presence of these distinguished guests underscored the community’s support for the students’ achievements and the value of educational and cultural exchange programs.
