In a jubilant culmination to the annual 12th Cultural Fest ‘One India-2024’, Lovely Professional University (LPU) proudly hoisted the Overall Championship trophy, representing the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu. The event, themed ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’, resonated with the Indian government’s ambitious vision to propel the nation into comprehensive development by its centenary year of independence.
The fervor of competition was palpable as teams from various schools showcased their talents and cultural richness. The School of Computer Science & Engineering and the School of Architecture & Design emerged as the first runners-up, embodying the essence of Mizoram and West Bengal, respectively. Meanwhile, the second runners-up positions were claimed by the Schools of Education, Agriculture, and CSE, representing Uttarakhand, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh, respectively.
Adding to the excitement, three consolation prizes were awarded to the Mittal School of Business, Computer Science, and Computer Applications, symbolizing the states of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
In a gracious gesture, Founder Chancellor of LPU & Rajya Sabha Member, Hon’ble Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners and commended the dedication of all participants. Dr. Mittal underscored the importance of patriotism and urged everyone to contribute to the nation’s progress, fostering unity and camaraderie.
The fest spanned two days of exuberant festivities and enlightenment, with over 4000 LPU students from every corner of India showcasing their talents and cultural heritage. It served as a melting pot of diversity, where participants collaborated to appreciate and embrace the richness of different cultures.
