In a remarkable display of academic excellence, Patiala’s own Mallik Arjun Ahluwalia has distinguished himself as one of the national toppers in the ISC Class XII examinations for 2025, securing an outstanding 99.75 percent in the humanities stream. A pupil of Yadavindra Public School, Ahluwalia not only led the state’s rankings but also brought pride to his institution with his stellar performance.

Reflecting on his achievement, Ahluwalia credited “intense preparation and the unwavering support of my teachers and family” for his success. “Consistent effort and a clear understanding of concepts were crucial,” he added, underscoring the rigorous study regimen that propelled him to the top.

Hot on his heels in the state rankings is Tarishi Singla of Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana, who claimed the second spot in Punjab’s medical stream with an impressive 99.25 percent. Known among peers for her disciplined study habits, Singla revealed that she dedicated seven to eight hours each day to her books, a routine that paid dividends in her board exams.

In the commerce stream, Agam of Sacred Heart Convent School secured third place in the state by scoring 97.75 percent. With ambitions to become a chartered accountant, she now sets her sights on the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET). “The concept-based questions in the ISC exams have strengthened my foundation, which will be invaluable for CUET preparation,” she noted.

The pattern of success extended to the Class X ICSE results as well, where Krishiv Bansal, also from Yadavindra Public School, emerged as the state topper with 99.4 percent. Close behind was Khyati Mohta of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Jalandhar, who achieved 99 percent to claim second place.

Celebrating the achievements of these young scholars, Navin Kumar Dixit, headmaster of Yadavindra Public School, remarked, “These results are a true testament to the students’ dedication and the supportive learning environment we strive to cultivate. Their accomplishments reflect the hard work of our faculty and the resilience of our students.”

As schools across Punjab congratulate their high achievers, this year’s board results reaffirm the state’s strong tradition of academic excellence and the bright futures that lie ahead for its students.
