According to eyewitnesses, a man, whose identity remains unconfirmed, brazenly entered the sanctum of the gurdwara and allegedly desecrated the revered Guru Granth Sahib. Outraged by the sacrilege, the assembled devotees swiftly apprehended the individual and handed him over to the authorities.

A case has been registered under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), highlighting the severity of the offense.

Initial findings indicate that the accused infiltrated the gurdwara premises during the serving of langar, a communal meal, which was part of the Baisakhi festivities. Subsequently, he proceeded to commit the sacrilege by disturbing the sanctity of the holy scriptures, an act that deeply offended the Sikh community.

The desecration, involving the pulling of a cloth sheet leading to the fall of the revered Guru Granth Sahib, has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice within the community.
